Mobile App Updates for Increased Productivity in the Field

 The latest update to the ProntoForms mobile app for iOS includes some small user interface changes that will make a big difference to the usability of mobile forms in the field.  As a leader in the mobile forms industry, ProntoForms is dedicated to helping you improve the productivity of your team -- and this means making mobile forms easy to use in the field.

To turn off auto-update functionality so that you can test internally before deploying, ask your users to perform the following:

  1. Open up the Settings app.
  2. Tap on iTunes & App Store.
  3. Under the section titled Automatic Downloads, you’ll see an item called Updates.
  4. 4. Tap on the toggle switch to turn it off so that it goes from green to gray.

Note that iOS does not have a ability to turn off automatic updates by app, so performing the above will turn off this functionality for all apps on the device.

Sleek mobile app tabs and form listings

We've updated the icons for each of the tabs -- Forms, Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, and Sent.  These new icons make it easier it see which tab you're in, for easier navigation of the mobile app.  

The form listings in each tab have also been simplified and streamlined -- the cleaner listing makes it easier to spot the form you need.

Clean user interface for mobile forms

We've also made some adjustments to the appearance of forms.  Higher contrast text and outlined fields mean that mobile forms are easy to read and use.  In bright light, in low light, in rain or shine -- the weather won't stop your team from getting the job done.

Updated in-form menu

We've changed the icon for the in-form menu.  This is now a common iOS menu icon -- so users can immediately recognize where they can go for less common actions, like Save as Draft and Discard.  Access the in-form menu with the kebob.png icon.

Sign in with Google

ProntoForms users can now log in to their ProntoForms account using their Google credentials.  In a world where we all have passwords for everything, this gives your field team one less password to remember.

Choose "Google Login" from the login screen of the iOS app, the Android app, or the web portal.
