Hiding a field after it has been answered

Hello,

We'd like to see a feature where we could hide a field after it has been answered. Currently, we are using a text field to have a user enter their PIN, when the PIN is entered it acts as an authentication tool (through conditional logic) to populate another field with their name. This is a security concern as we don't want these PINs visible to other users so we'd want to hide that field when they enter their PIN. This would avoid other users misusing someone else's PIN

    Hi Chris,

That's an interesting idea, and I can definitely see where this would be useful. Is the PIN entry and authentication for compliance reasons? I'd love to hear more about how you're using this.

While we currently do not have plans for development in this direction, I can see where you're coming from and would like to get a clearer picture of the use case so that I can present it as a possibility. I will definitely keep you posted on any plans in that direction.

    Hi Erin,

That's exactly it. Validations need to be completed on the production floor and we can't have technicians seeing the validators PIN as they would be able to enter it themselves.

Ideally the logic would work in this way

PIN entered, if valid PIN (equals a value in the source), hide PIN field, if invalid, state message

Would love to see development on this

    Chris

    Chris,

Great suggestion.  I could use this feature as well.

    As a alternative.

You could use dispatch to a form option.  Where the validator has their own device, they input their pin and the submission dispatches to the floor person with the PIN going to a hidden field.

Of course, this only helps if you need just one validation per submission but it might help you in the interim.
